A silicon transistor based fuzz is all you need to get a sound like Queens of the Stone Age.
This is designed to fit easily in a 1590A. With a low part count, and one 9mm onboard mounted pot, this build can be done in an hour.
Don’t want it in a 1590A? No problem. It works just as well in a 1590B or bigger.

I put 2 of these Meatheads together. By themselves they go from mild to wild. Q1 got 2N3904’s and Q2 got NTE199’s. If you run a boost or use powered pickups you can experiment a lot with the combinations. Really great and simple build for tons of tonal variations even with just one. Awesome sounds!
